Terms of Service

Effective date: September 29, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Nguyen Chau Han, an individual developer based in Vietnam who operates DayBloq (“DayBloq”, “we”, “us”). They cover the DayBloq app for Android (“the app”), the Sloth Club community board at daybloq.com/sloth-club, and the website daybloq.com (together, “the Service”). By installing or using the Service you agree to these terms, to our Privacy Policy, if you use the Sloth Club, to the community guidelines and, if you share a journal, to the share rules. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use DayBloq

• You must be at least 13 years old to use DayBloq. DayBloq is not meant for children under 13.
• If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use DayBloq only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
• Some features may be switched off for people under 18: journal links, gifts, guess links and the Sloth Club.
• You must be at least 17 years old to post, comment or vote on the Sloth Club. If we learn that someone under 17 has done so, we may delete their Sloth Club posts, comments and record.

2. What DayBloq is

DayBloq is a journal and tracker: you color days, write notes, add stickers and keep logs such as a Year in Pixels, a sleep log or a dream log. The journal is free and does not expire. An optional VIP subscription adds extra templates, covers, fonts, sticker packs and tools such as Auto-Backup.

DayBloq is not medical advice, therapy, or a diagnostic tool, and it does not replace a doctor or mental health professional. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.

3. Your journal and your data

• Your journal belongs to you. We claim no rights over what you write, color or log in the app.
• It is stored only on your device. DayBloq does not store your journal on its servers. If you turn on Backup, a copy is saved to your own Google Drive, only when you tap Back up or on the Auto-Backup schedule you choose.
• Keeping it safe is up to you. Because we never hold a copy, we cannot recover a journal that is lost when you uninstall the app, clear its storage, lose or reset your phone, restore an older backup over newer entries, or delete your backup. Back up regularly.

The Privacy Policy explains the limited technical data the app does send, and the delete your data page explains how to remove it.

4. VIP subscriptions

• VIP is sold as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription through Google Play. Google Play handles all payments, and we never see your card or bank details. The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown in Google Play before you confirm.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and Google charges your Google Play payment method, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can cancel at any time in the Google Play Store under Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; VIP stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• If a free trial is offered and you cancel before it ends, you are not charged.
• When VIP ends, your journal carries on. Pages you already made stay yours and stay editable; VIP items you had not used yet, and Auto-Backup, need VIP again.
• We may change VIP prices or what VIP includes. Google Play tells you about a price change before it applies to your subscription, and you can cancel if you do not agree.

5. No refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable. We do not give refunds or credits for subscription periods you have started, for unused time, for a trial that turned into a paid subscription, or for features you did not use. This applies except where the law where you live requires a refund, and nothing in these terms takes away a right that law gives you.

Every purchase is made through Google Play, and we do not issue refunds ourselves. If you ask for one anyway, the request goes to Google, which decides it under Google Play’s refund policies.

Where the law gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, you agree that VIP starts as soon as you subscribe, and you acknowledge that you lose that right once it has started, to the extent the law allows.

6. Templates, stickers and other content

The app, its design, and the templates, covers, fonts, sticker packs and other content in it belong to DayBloq or to the people who license them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use them inside the app for your own journal. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and are licensed, not sold. Some items appear in the Store for a limited time, and some need an internet connection to download.

7. The Sloth Club

The Sloth Club is an optional community board where people ask for features, show pages and swap tips. Only people signed in with a code from the app can read it. If you use it:

• You must follow the community guidelines. Content that sexualises or endangers a child, sexual content, hate, harassment, threats, content that encourages self-harm, illegal content, other people’s private details, spam and links to other websites are never allowed.
• What you post can be seen by everyone signed in to the Sloth Club. You keep ownership of it, and you give DayBloq a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display and adapt it for the purpose of running the Sloth Club and the Service. This license ends when you delete it, except for copies we must keep by law.
• Ideas and feedback you share may be used to improve DayBloq, freely and without any obligation or payment to you.
• You are responsible for what you post, and you promise you have the right to post it.
• Anyone signed in can report a post or comment. We read every report. We may hide or delete any content, and stop anyone from posting, at our discretion, especially where these terms or the guidelines are broken. We report content to the authorities where the law requires it.
• Posts on the Sloth Club are written by the people who post them, not by DayBloq. We do not check everything before it appears, apart from pictures, and we are not responsible for what other people post.
• You can delete your own posts and comments at any time, or everything at once on the delete your data page.

Illegal content

We do not allow illegal content anywhere on the Sloth Club, and we act on it as soon as we know about it. Here is how we protect people from it:

• Every picture is checked automatically for adult or violent content, and then waits for a person on the DayBloq team before anyone else can see it.
• Links to other websites are refused.
• Every post and comment has a Report link. When two different people report the same thing, it is hidden until we have looked. We read every report, usually within a day.
• Anyone, signed in or not, can report illegal content through our contact form.
• We remove illegal content, stop the person who posted it from signing in, and report content that exploits children to the authorities where the law requires or allows.
• If we hide or remove something you posted, we tell you why on the post. If you think we got it wrong, tell us through the contact form. We reply within 2 days and decide within 7.

8. Journal links

The app can make a link and a code that let someone copy a journal’s look: its cover, page templates, label colors and stickers, all of them DayBloq’s own. A gift is such a link with a note and a wrapping picked from DayBloq’s lists. If you make or open one:

• You must follow the share rules. A journal arranged to show sexual content, hate, harassment, violence, self-harm, or anything that sexualises or endangers a child is never allowed, and neither is making links in bulk or to advertise.
• Anyone who has the link or the code can see the journal’s look and copy it. A copy stays on the phone of the person who copied it, even if the link is taken down.
• Anyone can report a link. We read every report. We may take any link down, and stop any install from making links, at our discretion and without notice, especially where these terms or the share rules are broken.
• A journal copied from a link was put together by the person who shared it, not by DayBloq, and we are not responsible for how it was arranged. VIP items in it still need VIP.
• You can remove every link you made at once on the delete your data page.

9. Things you must not do

• Break the law, or use the Service to harm, deceive or harass anyone.
• Copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the app, or try to get around VIP, except where the law allows it despite this rule.
• Interfere with the Service, overload it, scrape it, or access it by automated means.
• Pretend to be DayBloq or anyone else.

10. Other companies’ services

The Service relies on Google Play, Google Drive and the other providers named in the Privacy Policy. Your use of them is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their services, including Google Drive keeping your backup available.

11. Changes and availability

We work to keep DayBloq running well, but we may change, add or remove features, and the Service may sometimes be unavailable. We may stop offering the Service. If we ever end VIP, Google Play stops renewing it.

12. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, DAYBLOQ IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR VIP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

14. Ending these terms

You can stop using DayBloq at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription in Google Play. We may suspend or end your access to the Service, or to the Sloth Club, if you break these terms. Sections 3, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 14 continue after these terms end.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any dispute will be settled by the competent courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protection that the law of the country where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we will tell you in the app or on this site before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.
