DayBloq

Delete your DayBloq data

DayBloq has no accounts, so there is no single account to close. What exists depends on what you used. Here is each part and how to remove it.

Your journal, on your phone

Your pages, colors, notes, stickers, sleep and dream logs live only in the app’s own storage on your phone. We do not have a copy on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete. To delete it yourself, uninstall DayBloq, or open Android Settings > Apps > DayBloq > Storage > Clear storage. This cannot be undone unless you have a backup.

Your Google Drive backup

If you turned on Backup, DayBloq wrote a backup file to a DayBloq_Backups folder in your own Google Drive. It is in your Drive, not ours. To delete it, open Google Drive and delete that folder. To stop DayBloq reaching your Drive at all, remove DayBloq from your Google Account’s third-party connections.

Your Sloth Club posts and record

If you used the Sloth Club, our community board, we hold what you posted there and a small anonymous record: your display name and the random identifiers listed in the privacy policy. The button below erases all of it at once: every post you wrote with its pictures and comments, your comments on other posts, your votes, the reports you sent, your sign-in codes and your record. If we are keeping a post as evidence of illegal content, we keep it hidden until the authorities no longer need it, even after you delete your data.

The same button removes every journal link you made in the app, which stop working at once, and the record of links you opened or reported. Journals other people already copied stay on their phones. See the share rules.

Sign in first so we know which record is yours. In the app, open the Sloth Club screen and tap Delete my Sloth Club data, which signs you in and brings you straight here. On an older version of the app, tap Open daybloq.com and then come back to this page. Or type the code the app shows:

Sign in with the code from the app

Open DayBloq, tap Sloth Club on the home screen, and type or paste the code you see there. It changes every 12 hours.

In older versions of the app it is under Settings, sometimes called Feature Request.

No email, no password. The code tells us which install you are, and nothing else. Signing in lasts a week on this browser.

If you already uninstalled the app, the old record can no longer sign in. Write to us with the name you posted under and roughly when, and we will delete it for you.

Usage, install and purchase data

The app sends usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase and install information to AppsFlyer, and subscription records go through Google Play and RevenueCat. None of these hold your journal or your name. They are tied to random identifiers and are deleted automatically after the retention periods described in the privacy policy. To ask us to delete them sooner, write to contact@daybloq.com or use the contact form. We answer every deletion request within 30 days. Purchase records that the law requires us or Google to keep for tax and accounting are kept for as long as that law requires.
